Destined for Nostalgia
after living a really cool childhood with really cool
parents.
In
1971 at age 7, I attended the Street Rod Nationals in Memphis
Tennessee with my parents Charles and Jackie Duran. We visited
Graceland and was invited onto the grounds, by security
guards, due to the fact Elvis loved Hot Rods. In 1978 I rode
in the rumble seat of a chopped top 34 Dodge Hi-Boy to the
Columbus, Ohio SR Nationals. If you ever see those photos, the
afro was computer super imposed, at least this is what I tell
my kids. I was given a 38 chopped top Chevy coupe at age 12 by
a restorer Houston Shelton, after he removed the mint front
sheet metal for one of his projects. He didn't want his
friends to see a chopped car in his
drive-way.
In
the early 70's there was a new concept for shopping, indoor
malls. The grand opening door prize at The Forum Mall in
Arlington was a restored Wurlitzer 1015 bubbler jukebox
(valued at $500.). I begged my parents daily to sign us up for
the drawing, one family per day only could register. We went
the day of the drawing. Due to the fact that Mom always said
to think positive, I just knew we would win the Wurlitzer. Mom
reminded me recently of this story on Mothers Day and said
"See I told you to think positive, you just weren't ready for
a Wurlitzer at age 8." Mom is always right and Nostalgia
Warehouse, LLC is now one of the largest Wurlitzer
Distributors in the world.
Hope you enjoy and we look forward to earning
your business.
Tony

This was in front of Texas Stadium at the Catalog.com
press conference. Sorry the car is sold. Mr. Jones is a
customer as well, purchasing (2) Wurlitzer 1015 OMT's
for his grandkids.

Dads 35 Ford Convertible
In 1973 this retro-rod was found in a Grand
Prairie garage finely preserved. Moms in the passenger
seat with Tim and I in the rumble seat. Wish we still
had this one.
In 1959, after the Cookie roadster, Dad (Charles)
built this Dodge T-bucket with a Corvette 327 & a 6
pack.
This was true cutting edge cool. Some
day my son Daris and I would like to reproduce this for
a modern day Rat Rod. Do you have a Dodge body for
sale?

myself & Bo Hopkins "Joe" leader of The Pharoahs at
KKOA custom car show in Denison Texas. These folks
were stars in American Graffiti. At age 7 this movie was
my inspiration that led to Nostalgia Warehouse.
Candy, I forgot to tell you I have owned (3) 58 Chevy
Impala's one even had tuck n roll. We have autographs at
Grapevine Mills available.
